Bill Clinton Speaks of Global Warming in Canada. By Alexandra Zabjek, Edmonton Journal, June 22, 2008. "Almost 2,000 people packed a banquet hall in Edmonton today to listen to former U.S. President Bill Clinton speak. Dozens more were turned away from the event at the Delta Edmonton South hotel. Audience members paid between $200 and $500 for the chance to hear the former president talk about how individuals should strive to work for the public interest and eliminate inequality in the world... Clinton also spoke at length about global warming. He insisted that fighting the ill effects of global warming does not have to have a negative effect on the economy. 'We should figure out how to make this the biggest economic opportunity' since the world mobilized in preparation for the Second World War, he said. Clinton lived up to his reputation as a charming speaker who joked easily with the audience."
