Eco-Moms, 2 Years Down the Road. By Sandy Bauers, PhillyInquirer, August 23, 2010. "Two years ago, they were eco-moms on a mission. Five Swarthmore women gathered weekly in Beth Murray's living room to examine the footprint of their lifestyles. Relentlessly data-driven -- they wanted facts, not conjecture -- they charted their electric usage, weighed their trash, and held buckets under their faucets to measure the flow. Somehow, they even managed to get their kids to time their showers. Then they took action, experimenting with various conservation tactics, and spending less on their electric, gas, and water bills... Recently, they met again... The theme that ran through the meeting -- is that even with all the changes, the women feel guilty. They don't think they do enough." Check EcoMom Alliance.
