Slow Food Nation Gains Momentum. Posted by Shepherd Bliss, EnergyBulletin.net, August 5, 2008. "Slow Food Nation leader Alice Waters -- founder of Berkeley's famous Chez Panisse Restaurant and author of eight food books [including her latest, The Art of Simple Food]... was interviewed [recently by KRCB public radio host Michelle Anna Jordan] about the August 29-31 Slow Food Nation celebration to happen around San Francisco... 'We want to lift a loud voice to change our food system,' Waters [said]... 'We need to change the ways we grow, distribute, and eat food, which needs to be good, clean, and fair... A big message of Slow Food Nation is that we all need to be planting gardens'".
